I found this article interesting for several reasons. First, I love ice hockey (I'm a Pens fan). Being from the North, hockey is a huge sport. Second, the article talks about the diversity of the U.S. hockey team in the Winter Olympics. Also, the Olympics are my favorite sporting events to watch. I thought it was pretty unexpected to read that non-NHL players made the Olympic team, but even college players are playing for the U.S. The first African American player on the men's side, Jordan Greenway, will be competing during the games. This is a great way to show how diversity can create strength in a group.
